Your Charleston Weekend
Happy Friday! It's a beautiful weekend in the Lowcountry, and we aren't fooling, there is a lot happening around town!
Saturday is the Cooper River Bridge Run, and whether you run, walk, or are just a supporter, there is fun to be had for all! Charleston is packed with visitors in town for the event, ranked in the top 10 biggest races in the U.S. As 36,000 runners get over that bridge, many downtown bars will host bridge run after parties all day Saturday. Check out the after party at Palmetto Brewing Company, featuring music and entertainment by John Cusatis. Here is a full list of all the bridge run events and specials.
Keep the party going into the night, and help your fellow South Carolinians cheer on the Gamecocks in the Final Four! It sure has been a great year for South Carolina athletics!
This weekend is also the 45th Annual Flowertown Festival in Summerville. For a more laid back vibe, take a drive out to Summerville and breathe in the lovely scents of some of our favorite flowers, all while enjoying great food and entertainment for the whole family!
Wrap up your weekend with the Charleston Honey and Bee Expo on Sunday at Cinebarre in Mount Pleasant. Sample local honeys (great for those pesky allergies!) and meet Charleston's beekeepers. The event is free, and sweet as can be!
