Home Sales Up From 2014!
Home Sales Up 23%; Inventory Down 18%
According to the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, 1,420 homes sold in March in the Charleston tri-county area. Median price is over $221,000. Year to date sold numbers are very impressive at 3,330 - a 23% increase from this time last year! The median price has grown 1% and is currently $215,000.
Adversely, the tri-county area available home inventory is down about 18% from March of 2014 with just under 5,500 homes on the market.
During March in Charleston County, 732 homes sold at a median price of $285,000. North Mt. Pleasant is Charleston’s most active area with a median price of $409,900 for 127 home sold. Next in line is North Charleston/Summerville where 92 homes sold with a median price just over $150,000. James Island is a close third with 91 sales at a median of $279,900.
