We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July, long weekend here in the Lowcountry! While many of us were on vacation (or staycation), real estate buying activity remained strong. It slowed a bit from June, but with 300 homes under contract, it is still an awesome Summer market!
Mount Pleasant prices are averaging $237 per sq. ft.! 31 homes went under contract last week! 16% were new construction.
James Island has remained strong, averaging $175 per sq. ft. And West Ashley homes under contract were right at $150 per sq. ft.
We are back to pre-recession numbers, and our market is continuing to grow as more jobs and development come to the area. Keep in mind, it took nearly 10 years to get back to these prices, so we are growing at a much healthier rate.
