It took about nine months for Sullivans Island homes to sell in both 2008 and 2009, up from six months in 2007. The average price per square foot of the 21 homes that sold last year was $519, the lowest it has been in the past five years. The median price on the island dropped from about $1.5 million in 2008 to just under $1 million in 2008.
